National Law Enforcement Memorial Candlelight Vigil - May 13, 2021

7:00 PM. (CST) - Virtual only

The NLEOMF will host a Virtual Candlelight Vigil on May 13 at 7:00 p.m. (CST) to memorialize those who sacrificed all for their communities. An in-person event honoring the fallen will be held during National Police Weekend, Oct. 13-17.

2021 National Police Week - Washington D.C.

Topeka/Shawnee Co. Law Enforcement Graveside Services

Topeka, KS - Held each May - 2021 dates TBA
This service begins at the Law Enforcement Center and then travels to the cemeteries of each Topeka/Shawnee County Law Enforcement Officer killed in the line of duty. Memorial wreaths and memorandum are held at each site. The public may attend. 


2021 Memorial Golf Tournament - September 12th, 2021

Annual Kansas Law Enforcement Memorial Candlelight Vigil

The event is held in the first floor rotunda of the Kansas Capitol in Topeka, 300 SW 10th, with a candle lighting ceremony immediately following at the Law Enforcement Memorial site located on the northeast corner of the statehouse grounds.

Kansas City, KS - Held each May - 2021 date TBA

The Kansas City Police Department's Annual Memorial Service and Luncheon is held each May. The. FOP Lodge #4 plans the Memorial Service and the Police Department's Victim Services Unit and The Police/Fire Chaplains Association plan and coordinate the luncheon. All families of Fallen Police Officers, as well as current Officers and their wives, are invited to the luncheon. The service is held in front of City Hall at 701 N. 7th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony


Ottawa Police Department/Franklin County Sheriff Memorial Service
Ottawa, KS - Held each May - 2021 Date & Time TBA
The Ottawa Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department hold their local memorial service honoring officers lost in the line of duty each May at the County Courthouse. The public is encouraged to attend.


Wichita Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony
Wichita, KS - Held each May - 2021 date TBA

A memorial service honoring Wichita officers lost in the line of duty will be held each May at the Wichita City Hall Building, 455 N Main St (at Central Ave), Wichita, KS 67202. The public is encouraged to attend.
